We'll See

Well, I found out about a new movie from our friend Roland Emmerich, of Independence Day and Stargate fame:
10,000 BC.

Hard to say yet how boring and mainstream it'll be, but it sure looks like there's a lot of awesome monsters (sabre-toothed tigers, mammoths, etc) and fighting and blood and stuff. C'mon, Roland, pull out another killer one for us. No Jeff Goldblum, though.

I'm not impressed and expect it to be bad. I mean c'mon: Godzilla, The Patriot and The Day After Tomorrow were all abysmal. plus it looks like a semi-remake of One Million Years B.C. ( http://imdb.com/title/tt0060782/ ) and/or Quest for Fire ( http://imdb.com/title/tt0082484/ ) both of which I enjoyed and thus would prefer they remain un-remade. this theory is corroborated by the fact that his next announced project is to remake the equally good-and-not-needing-to-be-remade "Fantastic Voyage"
